The 2008 Fall Professional Day will be held on Thursday October 16 at the Fairfax Marriott at Fair Oaks in the Ballroom.

Three outstanding professionals are scheduled to speak:

4:15 – 5:00 PM Reuben L. Gist, Director, Advocacy & Community Outreach, Capital Area Food Bank. “Strengths and Challenges Across Cultures”

5:15 – 6:00 PM Joseph L. Wysocki, PhD, National Program Leader, Housing and Indoor Environment, USDA. “Healthy Housing”

7:00 – 8:00 PM Bonnie Braun, PhD, CFCS, President AAFCS, Associate Professor and Extension Family Policy Specialist, U MD. “The Future …..As If It Matters”

PDU credit certificate will be given for this opportunity to hear these various experts speak. Each is an engaging speaker who will share timely up to date information of their field.

Everyone is welcome from all areas of the state. Members please encourage non-members to attend as well; the guidelines for AAFCS membership no long require a degree in FCS or related field.
